- “downspout” (he likes to listen & watch the downspout when the water drips)
- “nice hair, nice eyes, nice shirt” (etc) while pointing to various things on me
- “not wear these pants too much” (sounds like “too mush”)
- “vroom, vroom”
- “is” (sounds like “iss”)
- “I feel happy” (his response when I asked him one morning, “How do you feel…good?”)
- “want mama phone!”
LEARNING
- he matches the buttons to pages in his Star Wars “Me Reader” books
- “I push it” (he says when pushing the buttons on his Me Reader books)
- “orange star, I push it”
- “yellow chevron, I push it”
- “pink circle, I push it” (sounds like “circuit”)
- “blue hexagon, I push it” (sounds like “hexgon”)
- “red book” (what he calls the Marvel set of “Me Reader” books)
- he says whole lines from his books from memory (i.e., “train runs across this track” in Freight Train) & he finishes words when I pause
- he started to sit calmly, not fight when Eric brushes his teeth
HOME ENTERTAINMENT
- “wake up, watch Home Alone show” (sounds like “wake up, wash home lone show”)
- he cracks up to Home Alone 2 scene (shower scene & pool scene)
- Favorite books: Tough Trucks, Dazzling Diggers, Richard Scarry’s Cars and Trucks and Things That Go “gold bug”, Digger Man, Freight Train, Star Wars “Me Reader” set
- putting on his Obi-Wan ‘robe’ and playing with pretend light sabers
- climbing on the speaker & jumping off
- doing his impression of Kevin in Home Alone
- playing the keyboard & dancing
OUTDOOR NOTES
- he loves walking barefoot outside every chance he gets
- he loves walking on snow piles at Washington Elementary at dark
- 1st time going down spiral slide by himself (Walla Walla Point Park, 3/19)

- skiing at MR (2/25, 2/26, 3/4, 3/5, 3/11, 3/12)
- he makes good turns while on the reins
- he started skiing without the reins at rope tow area (starting 3/9)
- we saw our friend Sebastian at MR (3/11)
- it’s a big struggle to get his gear on in the car or lodge because he fights the process (very frustrating for Eric & I)
- he likes to have “yellow chips” in lodge (i.e., Lay’s Potato Chips)
- he loves to jump in the slushy puddles in the parking lot
- he rode his bike with the ski attachment
MISSION RIDGE MOVIES
FOOD NOTES & DINING OUT
- El Porton (2/24, 3/3, 3/17)
- he loves to eat the chocolate (“choc ett”) that they give out with the bill at El Porton
- Casa Herradura (3/10)
- he loves to eat just the crispy crust of pizza, and only along the outside edge
DAY TIME NAPS
- no change from prior months
- he starts naps between 1 PM & 2 PM, then sleeps in his crib for up to 3 hours
NIGHT TIME SLEEP
- status quo bedtime (~9 PM) & wake up time (~6 AM) = 9 hours of night time sleep
- instead of reading to him in the rocker/glider chair before bed, he likes to lie down in his crib while I read
- he says, “Hi Pillow Bear, hi Frog” (in his crib)
- he said, “not have doggies…just have cats…in bed…I so excited…I bring cats” (in his crib, thinking of a picture that Ashley “cat bombed” of him) (picture below)
- he woke up in the night 8x this month (same as last month)
- woke up 3:50 AM “mama stay” (2/23)
- woke up 4 AM (3/2)
- woke up 4:20 AM (3/13)

POTTY TALK
- nothing new to report
- he’s been potty trained for poo-poo for a long time
- he does stand up pee-pees in the baby potty when we ask him to go
- we’re waiting for him to start initiating his own pee-pees without us telling him to go
