This page won’t mean anything to you unless you know about Vinnie Tortorich and his no-nonsense message of NSNG (No Sugar No Grains). I’m not going to explain “Why NSNG?” here. Vinnie does that himself. I recommend that you check out:
- Vinnie’s website
- Vinnie’s podcast, “Angriest Trainer” (with Anna Vocino)
- Vinnie’s book, “Fitness Confidential” (co-authored by Dean Lorey)
- the Facebook Group, “Vinnie Tortorich’s No Sugar No Grains”
- the Facebook Group, “Vinnie Tortorich’s Plant Powered No Sugar No Grains”
This page is specifically for people who are interested in doing NSNG “vegan style.”
#PPNSNG means Plant Powered No Sugar No Grains.
- “Plant Powered” means no animal products.
- For me…”No Sugar” means no added sugar (whole fruit is not sugar).
- For me…”No Grains” means no processed grains and keep whole grains to a minimum.
This page is a companion to the page, What I Eat. For my NSNG recipes, check out my Recipe Index.
NOTE: this list includes ALL the foods in my kitchen right now. Yes…we do have sugars and grains in the house. Yes…there is room in a healthy #PPNSNG lifestyle for putting a little “life into living.” Treats are ok…infrequently! (My favorite “put life into living” food is Coconut Bliss non-dairy ice cream!)
