I hunt, fish, consume store bought meat, ski with alpine bindings and drive a truck that gets 17mpg? Do you hate me? Do you think you are better than me? Come discuss at http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php/243804-Chicks-Dig-Pow/page2

Dear Anonymous, I am running out the door in a little bit, and I will be gone for several hours. I will comment in detail when I return. The short answers are no, I don’t hate you and no, I am not “better” than you. I will start my own username on the TGR website and I will respond there. Thank you for the comment and the visit to my blog.

Dear Anonymous, The TGR discussion is pointless. Do you want to have an intelligent conversation? Yes? Then, here it is. I don’t hate you. I do hate unnecessary exploitation of living beings. I get angry when others are harmed IF harm can be prevented. I’m not interested in talking about harm that is not preventable. You say you hunt and fish and eat meat. I want to know why. I know ex-hunters and I know ex-meat eaters. You can change if you want to. I want to know if you value your own life. In particular, I’d like to hear your answers to the questions I presented on the “Contradictions of a Cabela’s Customer” blog post. Are you capable of addressing those questions with an open mind? Without defensiveness? I am not “better” than you. I am not “better” than a cow. By definition, as a vegan, I think we all deserve equal respect. We deserve our own lives. Non-vegans are the ones who put themselves “above” others, not vegans. What I mean by this is that non-vegans put themselves “above” animals and, consequently, feel entitled to take whatever they want from animals. Take, take, take. Taking is stealing. Stealing is wrong.
